Team Check-In: team check-in is the morning of the event at 7:30 A.M. at the tournament site. All four players from each team are required to attend a check-in. Here, you will receive your team schedule and all player favors (T-Shirts). This year's location will be the outdoor basketball facility next to the Covington Middle School. Indoor courts will be used if the weather doesn't cooperate.
General Guidelines:
- Teams consist of 3 or 4 players, three starters and one substitute.
- Teams will be grouped in divisions with teams of similar average age, size, and playing ability.
- Identification and proof of age may be required. Inaccurate or false information on registration form is grounds for team disqualification.
- Teams are guaranteed a minimum of two scheduled games. This is a double elimination tournament, with a loser's bracket.
- Games will be played on half court.
- Scoring: one point per basket; two points for shots made over 20 feet. First team to 15 points, up by at least two, wins; OR first team to 20 points OR team ahead after 30 min., wins. Possession alternates after baskets.
- Games are officiated.
- Officials and monitors oversee disputes and control the game. Officials also have the authority to call flagrant or intentional fouls.
- Participants must conduct themselves with good sportsmanship. The tournament committee retains the right to ban any participant for conduct detrimental to other participants.
Note: All participants are obligated to abide by the tournament guidelines or face banishment from future tournaments.
